Since 1996, The Young Actors Studio has been recognized as the leading place for developing young artists. Founded by Jeff Alan-Lee (author of “A Young Actor Prepares” and formerly teacher at The Lee Strasberg Institute), the studio was founded as a positive, supportive place for young actors who really want to learn the craft of acting.
Our goal is to empower young artists through learning the craft of acting. In doing so, our artists have made wonderful contributions in film, television, theater, music, magic, dance, and so many other aspects of life.
We believe that every actor is on their own unique artistic journey. And it is our goal to provide a safe, positive, supportive place for them to explore and gain the confidence to share their own unique voice.
Inspired by the work of Stanislavski, our approach is focused on creating authentic, truthful performances. We believe that young people are capable of creating great work, and so we believe they can learn the real craft of acting.
